All this talk of onions almost had me forget to post the first-ever Shallot Recipe of the Week. Now, I'm not usually a fan of the Food Network's Sara Moulton. I find her television presence annoyingly rodent-like, her menus too French-cookbook traditional. But I made this dish the other night, and though it was simple, it turned out delicious. Maybe it was just the roasted shallots -- God knows, I have a jones (now public) for the peelable sweet gods of the earth. But I generally thought the delicate pairing of earthy veggies with the meatiness of the fish worked well.
