I know this. But thanks to a lovely stomach flu and various other pressing issues, my blogging has ceased for the longest amount of time since *glassShallot's birth on November 1, 2004. Travel has also been a reason: I've been out of town on various assignments, and since I can't decide which new laptop to buy (at this point, money isn't an issue; a guy who has actually been paid to write Condé
Nast-sanctioned laptop buying guides can't actually find one he likes), it hasn't been easy for me to work on the road. My criteria: a 12 inch screen, 3-pound weight, DVD drive, and 5 hours of battery life. It doesn't exist. Or does it? Let me know if somehow you've found something I've missed.
